Darhee 1

A series of typographic objects created for the Heungminjeungeum and Hangul Design exhibitions that took place both in Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, South Korea. In these projects, each designer was tasked to explore now defunct characters or words and express new interpretations of them. For each of these, the word ‘dahree’ or ‘다리’ or ‘bridge’ was chosen. In each of these interpretations, the concept of connection was explored through formal material studies in fomax or physical lighting. The end result is a series of letter studies in material and space.
